One of the most effective ways to begin your dog’s training journey is through personalized, one-on-one instruction. Dog training is ultimately human training, and as the handler, your role is critical to your dog’s success. Our program emphasizes skill development for both the dog and the handler, fostering a strong partnership built on understanding, communication, and trust.
We prioritize creation over correction, dedicating the time, effort, and energy necessary to ensure our methods serve the long-term well-being of your dog.
We recommend starting training as early as eight weeks, when possible. Early training helps establish basic handling skills, household management, socialization, and appropriate routines—laying the foundation for a well-adjusted, confident dog. The clearer your understanding and the better your home setup, the greater your success will be.
Our one-on-one lessons typically begin in your home with an initial consultation. When appropriate, training may extend to dog-friendly public spaces to reinforce behaviors, improve reliability, and support generalization of skills in real-world environments.

WHY IS AN INITIAL CONSULTATION + A FOUR LESSON MINIMUM REQUIRED?
The lesson minimum is in place for your benefit—and mine. The initial consultation is nearly twice the length of a standard lesson. It allows us the time to get to know one another, gives me the opportunity to begin building a relationship with your dog, and ensures we can thoroughly cover everything from household management to foundational skill-building.
Dog training is a process, not a quick fix. Requiring a lesson minimum helps ensure that owners are prepared to prioritize and commit to that process with a clear understanding of what it takes to achieve lasting results.
While I understand that many owners are eager to resolve challenges quickly, meaningful and sustainable behavior change requires consistency and follow-through. I am committed to providing thoughtful, effective training—and I work best with clients who are equally dedicated to investing in their dog’s long-term success.
